Oil, Diesel and Petrol Pumps

In general we recommend using gear pumps for pumping oil, particularly viscous oil products such as heavy fuel oil and transformer oil. We therefore suggest looking at our Varley pumps and our Tuthill pumps.

For less viscous oil such as diesel oil and petroleum based liquids we can also offer centrifugal pumps. Centrifugal pump fitted with the correct mechanical seal are often a cheaper option than gear pumps for moving high volumes of product.

It is worth noting that oil pumps are often in hazerdous areas such as off shore oil rigs and refineries. We therefore offer ATEX approved versions of our products.
